In the Champions League match celebrated last Wednesday, the premium fruit and vegetable company handed over a check worth of 35.000 euros to support the organization Arche Stuttgart and a SanLucar DREAMS project in South Africa

The collaboration between SanLucar and VfB Stuttgart as a new service partner of the German soccer team began in August 2023 and after initial campaigns – such as the successful SanLucar and VfB fundraising campaign in the spring of this year, which raised 25,000 euros for good causes – a new solidarity initiative was launched in October of this year, which has managed to exceed the sum, reaching a record 35,000 euros. This money will go equally to two social projects. On the one hand, 17,500 euros will go to the Arche charity in Stuttgart and the other half to a SanLucar DREAMS project that the premium fruit and vegetable brand and VfB Stuttgart will jointly carry out in South Africa. The goal of the SanLucar DREAMS project is to introduce children in the SanLucar farm regions to football, while also teaching values such as team spirit, discipline, and self-confidence. To achieve this, football fields will be created, and local trainers will be professionally trained with the support of VfB.

The special campaign, which was launched in October with an exclusive new SanLucar product line, highlighted SanLucar premium products such as blueberries, mandarins, oranges, lemons, grapes, plums, mangoes, avocados, and FreshCut. These products were presented with the popular SanLucar & VfB Fritzle sticker (the famous mascot of the German football club). Customers could also win great prizes with SanLucar and VfB collector cards, such as tickets to VfB games and Champions League matches.

The donation check was handed over to VfB board members Alexander Wehrle and Rouven Kasper and VfB Foundation manager Steffen Lindenmaier by SanLucar CEO Armin Rehberg and his German team during last Wednesday’s match against Young Boys Bern.
