They make life more colorful– and crisper.
“For me, there’s simply no better snack than our peppers,” says picker Toni, taking a bite with glee. “They’re so wonderfully crunchy and juicy – you’re immediately in a good mood when you bite into them.”
No wonder, because the red, green and yellow peppers that grow here in Spain thrive under optimal conditions: plenty of sun, the right amount of water and the loving care of Toni and his team. The special thing about our peppers is their incomparably intense aroma. “They taste spicy and have a fruity-sweet note. Only ours taste like this,” laughs Toni. He is particularly fond of the delicious peppers.
They are seedless and ideal as a snack. “My children love them – and usually have to share.” All the peppers grown on the finca are low in calories and packed with valuable nutrients and fibre. The team at the finca works in harmony with people and nature, saves water thanks to a sophisticated irrigation system and avoids waste. Toni carefully separates a bell pepper from the branch and gently places it in the box. “Look at these beautiful colors– our peppers really do make life more colorful,” he says. He’s absolutely right.
Good to know

History
Peppers have had an exciting journey! They originally come from Central and South America. Thanks to Columbus, they found their way to Europe, where they became a culinary star, especially in Hungary. Today, they are loved all over the world.
Tips and special features:
Fresh peppers are best stored separately from fruit that releases the ripening gas ethylene, such as apples or bananas. This gas accelerates the ripening process and causes the peppers to spoil more quickly. To preserve their freshness, peppers should therefore be stored on their own.
Country of origin
Our fresh, spicy peppers come for example from sunny Spain from October to April. From September to February, on the other hand, they grow in the Netherlands. A crunchy delight from both countries.
Storage
Fresh peppers feel particularly at home in the vegetable compartment of the fridge at 7–10 ºC. Wrapped in a perforated plastic bag or paper bag, the air can circulate well and the moisture is optimally controlled. This keeps the peppers fresh for up to a week. At room temperature, on the other hand, they lose their freshness after just one or two days and become wrinkly.
