The fact that orange juice is a true natural is quite well known! But did you know that it also does a lot for our well-being?
This is exactly what has now come out of a study in Brazil! All participants determined that a daily glass of fresh orange juice lowers total cholesterol. And the proportion of oxidative stress – that can be the cause of diseases such as diabetes or cardiovascular disease – was also reduced by drinking orange juice on a daily basis.
But why exactly is this? All fruit and vegetable varieties have ingredients such as vitamins and minerals, which are extremely important for the human body, as they can prevent cardiovascular diseases and protect against certain cancers. But the body has to get it regularly.
That’s why we should eat 400g of fruits and vegetables or more every day. That’s quite a lot! And fruit juices without sugar additives or colouring and preservatives such as freshly squeezed orange juice can be counted as a portion of fruit. And just between us: who doesn’t like to drink a glass of delicious juice for breakfast?
