For a while now, blueberries as superfood seems to be on everyone’s lips. But we think they’re also quite a treat to the eye – especially the way they thrive so magnificently at our growing partner Danny Lohse’s farm.
This variety has the royal blue name “Duke” and is particularly aromatic and firm to bite into. At Danny’s farm, they ripen well protected in tunnels in June and in the main harvest from July to September, then they ripen in the field.
In order for the sweet berries to preserve their superpowers, we prefer the help from beneficial insects to tackle any possible pests.
