
Santalicious Caprese
Delight your kids with this adorable Santa made from fresh ingredients! Using sunny tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, and crisp basil, you’ll create a Santa Claus that’s just too tasty to resist — because it doesn’t always have to be chocolate!
Ingredients:
- 2 SanLucar tomatoes, sliced
- 1 mozzarella ball (approx. 125 g), sliced
- 6–8 fresh SanLucar basil leaves, washed and dried
- 2 slices of deli meat (e.g. chicken or turkey breast)
- 1 black olive
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 pinch of pepper
- 2 tbsp SanLucar Natura Pura olive oil
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
Preparation:
- Slice tomatoes and mozzarella evenly. Wash and dry the basil leaves.
- Arrange tomato slices as Santa’s hat and coat trim.
- Use a deli meat slice for Santa’s face.
- For the eyes, place two small mozzarella slices and half a black olive.
- Use a tomato slice for the nose.
- Arrange mozzarella around the face as a fluffy beard and one slice as the pom-pom on the hat.
- Decorate with basil leaves as Santa’s collar.
- Just before serving, drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Season with salt and pepper. Done — and delicious!
