Santalicious Caprese

Delight your kids with this adorable Santa made from fresh ingredients! Using sunny tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, and crisp basil, you’ll create a Santa Claus that’s just too tasty to resist — because it doesn’t always have to be chocolate!

Ingredients:

Preparation:

  1. Slice tomatoes and mozzarella evenly. Wash and dry the basil leaves.
  2. Arrange tomato slices as Santa’s hat and coat trim.
  3. Use a deli meat slice for Santa’s face.
  4. For the eyes, place two small mozzarella slices and half a black olive.
  5. Use a tomato slice for the nose.
  6. Arrange mozzarella around the face as a fluffy beard and one slice as the pom-pom on the hat.
  7. Decorate with basil leaves as Santa’s collar.
  8. Just before serving, drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Season with salt and pepper. Done — and delicious!
